Former students of King’s College Budo gathered at the Lugogo Cricket Oval to elect new leadership.
The organization, known as the Old Budonians club, held the Budo fest on April 24, 2017, at which people from all walks of life converged and held their annual general meeting where new leaders were elected.
The delegates agreed to raise funds and erect a perimeter fence at King's College Budo for the protection of the over 1,600 students and also work to expand the school.
Chris Luswata was elected as new president Old Budonian Club, with Christine Mulimba Kasule as vice president [women] and Godfrey Katende [males], Timothy Bukenya was made general secretary, while Paul Kajubi is treasurer, Peter Kasedde and Rona Kaggwa as mobilizers, while Dr Ezra Suruma, chancellor of Makerere University, was elected as representative of oldies of 1956-1966, among others.
In his acceptance speech, Luswata said they would work as a team in consultation with outgoing leaders in ensuring that the club grows stronger for the good of the fraternity.
